Waaah . . . since it is in Texas this year, I had planned to go, make a nice bike trip out of it, but about 3 weeks ago, I layed it down (first time ever) and it's in the shop. Does anyone know where it will be next year?

I WAS riding a Harley Fatboy (Screamin' Eagle) until a ghost patch of gravel took me out. I had ridden all day long without a helmet (which I usually do NOT do), but that afternoon, grabbed my helmet and that's the only reason I am typing this email today. The shop tells me the paint job will take 4-5 months -- that's CRAZY! I've always ridden FAST, but that day, I was going slow and only 3 miles from home. When I realized I was going down, my first thoughts were, "Yeeha! I'm not going out in a nursing home!" lol
I lost my memory so I went to ER, got checked out, all okay except for concussion, which has kicked my butt, but I'm almost back to good again now.

LOL..sounds fun.
Hope your return back to "normal"goes well, and that the bike gets fixed for ya..I like the Fat-Boys, but the Heritage is my fav...I ride often, putting on a tad over 7000 miles the past 3 months..Planning a trip down the coast from Texas to Florida, and up the coast to North Carolina in the spring with a few buddies..Was at the Bikes,Blues,B-B-Q in Fayetteville,Arkansas a few weeks back..If you have never been, that is the place to be...Good luck and keep it safe

Hey, Jerry -- that's the kind of riding I like -- I'm not interested in bar hopping. Just got back from a trip Houston to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Missouri -- rounded a bend and came face to face with a black bear and her cub in the highway. I didn't know whether to keep going (60mph) and risk her running in front of me, or to stop and risk her attacking me since she had a cub with her which was not cooperating about getting out of the road. Hercules (my faithful guardian angel) chased them off into the forest just in time.
I've ridden to Big Bend, Mexico, Sturgis (carried my tent on the back), Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and my next quest is the Smoky Mountains!

That's exactly where I was -- took a small back road and rode a tiny ferry across a lake. Took a swim while waiting (30 minutes) on the ferry! You live in beautiful country, and yes, I love those winding mountain roads.
