1/2 brothers/sisters, and nest mates carry an equal amount of genetic info of the parent they share. they get 50% from both parents. However not the same genetic info from the parent.
If you are trying to pass down a single parent, half bro Sister mating, and nest mates are equal in getting you that parents genes passed down.
Note that nest mate or half bro will contain 50% of the one parents genetic make up. It is possible that that nest mates can carry the exact opposite 50%. Hence the two birds not even closely the same genes even though the same parent.
fly'm and pick the best, mate those and see what happens.
