Why? He just might be a power house, you'll never know unless you fly him

I have been trying to get a solid yellow male for about two years and every single solid yellow is a hen. If this is a male I am putting him back to his grandma and I will fly the young. Depending how the hawks are; if there are none I will fly him..

How did I breed for color.. I thought about tomorrow to let the Neibels out but I can't just got a hockey game now in Red Deer. It's got to be a day where I have the full day to watch incase they don't come back, so I can chase them down.. lol

If you're gonna hold that one cock in just because he is yellow,I'd say your breeding him for his colour.I'm not trying to be rude,I'm just stating my bigmouth opinion.I'd fly him first and see what you have there. But no,nice pics don;t get me wrong,,,and thanks for showing them.

lmao kel! "I'm just stating my bigmouth opinion" :) I wouldn't classify my blue or reds color birds, therefore i didn't breed for colour.. :D Weird that blue doesn't look like he has blue bars coming. But anyways I only said that I may not fly it simply because I don't have enough stock birds.. :) I think I am going to build another kit because we just took one kit down..

Give it time to go through a moult maybe he'll come up with some bars. It's all good Drew.Ya well go for it.but you only need probably 3 pairs of breeders with 2 pair of fosters for each pair to breed ya up plenty of birds to fly in a season.
