Tony,
Nope, these are the ones I won on the NPRA/FORS auction and they came from Bob Rapp in California.Nice guy,he sent me 4 extras. They are mostly Dale Husband strain with a little Ferholz. These YBs are from birds that have produced good performers and the breeder pair have also produced good performers. He was pretty nice to send me a pair of his best breeders,I'm totally stoked. As far as I know I'm the only guy up here with a flying strain of Orientals.I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way but the 6 ORs I got from Richard in High River I've been flying them 2 1/2 months now and have only seen 'em tailride for the last 1 1/2 months.I think they may be show bird culls.I don't know for sure yet tho but don't have the inclination to breed them birds and fly the young and cull hard to get good ones. That could take years.Think I'll just keep breeding the ones I got from Cali and go with that.

Just starting to breed all the ones in the 1st post so will fly out their young. It took too much to get them here from California to fly those ones.I trust the guy I got them from they are good birds.Don't know how deep they'll roll but they are totally different from BRs and perform different ways than BRs.The main reason I want to fly them is their BOP avoidance manouvers, tho I'm sure they will be entertaining from what I've read about them on the FORS website. The last 2 pics I'm having a hard time getting them to fly now(they are different strain of OR) but they were flying good in august early sept. never being caught by the falcons after 10 or so attacks.Only got them to tailride so far and dive with the falcons to escape.

Paul, those ones in the last pics are not birds from the FORS club guys. The parents of those came from John Skistimas loft and he (apparently) has mostly show birds tho he won't like to hear me saying that.He told me on another forum it is a bunch of crap the said differences between show ORs and Flying Oriental Rollers.I won't have any arguement with him on that subject till I prove it for myself by flying the different strains.----------

I talked to a man from MO. at Louisville Young Bird Show over the weekend about some O. Rollers. After reading about them I would kind of like to try some but don't want to get them quite yet. He said about what I had read about them they are not frequient or have near the spin or depth as the Birminham Rollers but stronger flyers at least in his experiance. I also met a man named John Walsh from Maryland who had Continental Rollers as well as Birmingham Rollers. The Continental Rollers are smaller than the Birminham Rollers he said they are higher flyers with lots of depth in their spin. He is a comp. flyer so maybe some people from out east know him.
