We had such a great time at the Texas convention. the TPRA guys were first class in there planning of this event. The cages these guy have are magnificent. They flew some great birds too. the hawks and falcons and redtail are out of control I saw at least one at every loft we went to at 2 lofts at one time they were 4 preditors in the air at once. They are getting murdered over there I mean murdered. I dont no how they do it.They have to work 3 times harder, To put the scores they do it is mircle am happy am here. I got to see some english birds They are very diferrent than the penson in many ways but they break big real big they were not as fast as i would prefer but they will get you the points by the doubles and triples
The weather was so nice and the people were so friendly
VIDEO COMING SOON EDITING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank for such a great time and god bless Texas I will put names later
P.S dont miss a convention the knowledge you can gain is priceless!!!!!!

Great pics, Marlon! I just got back to Carolina from the NBRC convention, myself. Joe Bob Stuka, myself, Don Simpson, Jim Spring, Charlie Stack, Wendall Carter, Jay Alnimer and Rich Farr went out early and spent an extra day flying and handling birds with Rick Mee, Carlos Easley and Clint Chilton. Then, during the convention we flew Alex Hamilton, Joe Dan, Kenny Libick, Darryl Johnson(2008 11-bird champ), Michael Baldwin, and Kevin Monroe. Those Texas boys flew some fast, high quality pigeons in the face of relentless BOP attacks. From the Mee birds, to the Easleys.... Carl Bailey Ohio birds.....Reed/Higgins.......and the English strains of Masons and Les Bezance birds gave everyone a broad experince in the comparisons of the performances of these families. The wide open spaces and distances between lofts gave us first hand experience at some of the difficulties the region faces in coordinating their regional competitions. My hat's off to all of these men for their committment and success in another tremendous NBRC convention that kept the bar raised high. Comraderie and friendship among the NBRC members was at a fever pitch during the entire affair and there was a great deal of knowledge shared from accross the nation. The stop by the Fort Worth Stockyards and a belly full of brisquite was one of the favorite stops, and closed circuit DVDs during the bus-rides of two decades of NBRC and World Cup roller flies was a trip down memory lane as we struggled to identify today's flyers with color in their hair and 50 pounds lighter, and remembered those who were no longer with us! LOL! One of the highlights of the year in the roller hobby, no doubt about it! Good job men! Those of you who couldn't make it need to do yourself a big favor and plan to attend next year.
Cliff
PS. It was really good to see all you guys from this list. I even made friends with Nick Siders!!! LOL!

Good to see you on this site, Steve. Congratulations on your first competition this year. It takes a certain strngth of character to put 'em up for others to see. The convention is a great opportunity to see the kinds of birds flown by other fanciers.....and a great opportunity to meet new friends and renew old acquaintances in the sport. I highly recommend it. Good luck with the foot. Cliff
