What kind of defence mechanisms does a pigeon have??

I know a guy that has a minivan and one day his kids left a door open, and coincidentally he was flying his homers at the same time. Well Mr. Goshawk showed up and one flew in the door into the van. They shut the doors without knowing. Next morning, they were going to go somewhere, and low and behold, the missing homer was in there. There was exhaust from the bird all over the van on all of the seat and dash board.. lol
