I was just wondering since some guys tell me they use last years band on new birds, how can you really tell how old are birds?

ralph i think he means how can u tell if a young bird is carrying a yearlings ring ive been told by some through the molt but i dont know

yeah I got a few birds from a auction ..but sum has bands some dont ,and I was told that they used the 07 bands to get rid off them..How can I tell the age, I dont believe the bans on them, is their another way ?

STUDENT 2 THE GAME......To answer your question directly......NO. Their is no way to tell what the age of the bird is other then the band. You have to have TRUST in the people that you get birds from or DON'T get them from that person. Plain and simple.
