I got this idea from STUDENT 2 THE GAME.. sorry to steal your post.. but I think this may get more replies on a new thread. But anyways I have a breeder that does not have a band.. I know it may 3 yrs old or way more but I am not sure. It is a yellow hen. Is there anyway to tell by the eyes/wings/beak etc....

Look really closely at the birds teeth, and that will tell you their age.

kops,
You have to use a magnifying glass, and take your time so you dont injure the bird lol

Yea and if the magnifying glass doesn't work you have to dance or put up some kind of show for your birds so they are in awe and open their mouths.

Andrew, just cut off a leg and count the rings!!! make sure you remember it though, you only get 2 chances, not like doing it with a dog or cat where ya got 4 chances!!!

The fastest way to finding how old a bird is = ask the breeder who bred it!

from my experience, the really old birds have really crusted eyes.
like racer homers.
