Are crows known to chase pigeons? Today when I let my rollers out, they came rushing back home with a small flock of crows at their heels...I even saw one crow reach down mid-air and grab a beakful of feathers from one of my pigeons! (the pigeon is ok, just rattled)
I have never heard of that happening before, anyone know if I should be concerned?

I've never had crows attack my birds. Usually, the crows in my area will drive the falcons and hawks away.

They aren't crows, they must be ravens.. Yesterday flying over my house, I saw a flock of about maybe 50-100 ravens.. It was right after the sun was going down and it reminded me of the movie 'The Birds'

Yeah, right now the crows are migrating south...Crows do tend to attack rollers sometimes when they fly too close to them...Crows are territorio birds so yes they will attack anything that is close to them except little birds...Crows get punk around by little birds...

Thanks for the feedback everyone - I never saw anything like that before and it made me nervous.
There were only about 5 or 6 crows (or ravens?) After they chased the rollers they landed in a tree and made menacing noises at me for awhile. Tried to get the whole thing on video but it didn't come out.

Crows/ Ravens are great,, If they are chasing the rollers its good training,..LOL and they are hard on the birds of prey... Its wierd because I use acouple of aluminum pans to feed them in a field. and yesterday I noticed one of them gone fromn the pantry... My wife took it upon herself to fill ti with enchladas.. Imagine that...LOL I was bumed I lost the tin but really enjoyed the outcome....

Hear in Ohio the crows are my best alert devise. They will give chase to any BOP in their territroy, thus leaving my rollers alone. The only thing is I still can't find a way to attract the crows to stay around all the time. Or as long as I need them to stay...lol ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul
