Hey All, does somebody know if homeowners insurance would cover one of your pigeons hitting a neighbors car while rolling (like if it left a dent in the hood)?

Just curious.

Hey TT, have you had this happen? Rhetorical question: If your pet dog damages another persons property, do you know if this would be covered by homeowners insurance?

Tony, Its never happen to me before,
The girlfriend is a insurance broker and when i ask her your question she looked at me funny and said no, She compared it to any bird falling out of the sky and causing damage, Would be classified as a Natural Disaster. Now thats the Law here in Canada,
Tony,
It would be cheaper to fix it then pay for the deductible depending on what your is, $500, or $1000, pulling a dent shouldnt be any where close to that.

I was training a pony to pull a cart, and she was a "Witch" with a "B" -- she dumped me out of the cart and ran back home with nobody driving, down my driveway and scratched up and dented a customer's car. My homeowner's insurance DID pay for the damage.

Thanks for the responses, would like to hear from a couple more if possible. Hey Kiddenaround, did you have a hefty deductible?

This was a few years ago, and I want to say that my deductible was about $500.

Crazy to believe that a pigeon could cause that much damage.

Tony . . the rest of the story . . .

after that claim, the insurance company was hell-bent to drop me because they didn't want to have to cover animal-related "home businesses".

I had a bad experience with them over that -- they paid, but after that, I was their step child.

Now, I don't file anything that's not substantial.

I had a big tree fall across the hood of my truck during the hurricane last month, and I chose not to file it.

Sucks, but it seems that insurance is only for catastrophic losses.
