I was wondering what you guys do to add more control to the birds. As to make them not roll when low or to control the depth when flying lower.

You have a cock bird that produces everything you want but when the birds are low if they roll and hit there gone. 40'-60' depth no less offspring.

What will be the best hen for him? All hens have no faults.
A hen that came in to the roll late 8+ months?
A short 10' hen that is stiff but also super fast?
A hen that has not roll but all her nest mates were nice?
More examples will take.

Thanks

myself I would stop breeding from a Bird like that .

He lacks control and is passing the fault on to his offsprings.

How many different hens have you bred him to?

He needs a hen that exhibit control all the times and with a hint of being stiff. She doesn’t have to be deep nor shallow as long as she has the control. Some youngsters will grow out of the lack of control if they did not destroy themselves at 6 month.

Hey Quick, I agree with Jay. Look for the hen from the same stock, that DOES NOT ROLL at all or very little when coming in to land and put back to this original cock bird (F1).

Fly out the youngsters and look for a son (F2) from this pairing that demonstrates the set traits you described but now also demonstrates the new trait of "control" you are trying to "add" to the F1's lineage.

Continue to do this with the F1 pairing until you have a sufficient number of F2 cocks demonstrating the set traits and the added control trait.

Your next objective will be to find a hen or hens within the same stock to put all these cocks on and now produce offspring that demonstrate the old traits and the new one in larger and larger percentages.

An obvious start is using the F1 hen. Have fun with it!

This cock bird produce speed close to the highest were you see a cylinder 1 second then drop. He was 30-40' and all his brothers and sister were the same with control and had flown over 2 years. His father was 15' his mother was 30'.

I have try him with two hens. Problem I didn't know the background of the hens in till now.

One hen is white heat which her brothers were hot and deep 40'-60'
2nd hen also was the same hot.

I talk to my friend which I got the cock from he said that he never had this problem. So maybe it has been the hens that were hot not the cock. I'm breeding him right now with a hen that I bred and flown for 1 year. All her sister were nice with plenty of control but she was the short hen that had more speed and a little stiff. She will roll maybe 1 a minute or every 2 minutes but when she did it make you smile.

Now if he produces birds with no control at all he is the problem. But if you guys would of seen the speed that he has produce believe me it will be hard to get rid of a bird like this. I rather work with him in till I know I can't do nothing to fix it. Like a side project but to find the hen.

We have 3 brothers from the same family no hens they are 10-11-12 years old the cocks I have the 10 years old bird. This are out of Bob Scott birds originals not from some one else.

So the best thing is to inbreed the cock bird with his daughters that show control. I will fly the offspring for 2 years to really know for sure.

Thanks
