What is a good way to settle birds that have been flown from one loft at same location as the new loft? Distance from old loft to new is approx. 100 yds.

First up, I would put some electrolytes in their water to relax them.. lol That is actually what I do though.

During the day keep them in the Flypen/training cage for 2 weeks.Should do it if they are hungry when you finally fly them again.

Andrew giving them electrolytes in the water will make them too strong and fly for a longer time. It's not a wise idea to give them that the firs day before flying them.

I Would do what Kel said plus don't feed them the day before. And don't force them to fly I would let them kick back for 3 days before making them fly.

Before I would just pluck the feathers out and 99% of the time they will stay by the time they grow back.

I have this same problem when I switch kits from one box to anouther. I try to keep them in for 2 to 3 weeks. Feed the crap outa them the first week or two. Use the training cage daily. Slack back for the last few days, then dont feed them the day or two before I release them.

Never fails a couple will still try to go back to their old box. You might try changing the look of the old box, but they are more homed in on the location of it than the look.
