LOL, Kel, as of last week, I am running those lights early, starting about 3:30am and letting the sun set to end the day. I think this way the day ends naturally for the birds.

Tony,that is probably a better way to do it,then everyone is on the perch at bedtime.Myself,I like to go out there after dinner and sit and watch them and have my cigar.They seem to know when lights out time is approaching and all but the most Do-Do Doneks are tucked in.

I agree with David LOVE THESE RUBY'S. very smart and intelligent birds I have purchased 2 sets of three since July of this year and so impressed that I just ordered 2 more cocks and a hen today. Puts me at 9 ruby's from a flock of 23. They are young but don't waste time coming into their roll. I can't wait to they really mature if they get better than what I see now that I love man I might transform my whole loft to Ruby's LOL

Tony, one question since your loft is built with a good tempature system, do you breed all year round?
