Hello: If the bird is not bleeding & the wound is farily clean, leave the bird alone & nature will take care of him. I have had birds cut up real bad & do just ok...Glenn

Take some over the counter Neosporin antibacterial ointment or similar and massage some into the wound to prevent infection. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Yup Neosporin is the answer. It works wonders. Rub some in the hole/cut and sew em up with needle and thread if he's ripped bad.

let nature takes its course! i usually just put some hydrogen peroxide on it and let it be. Neosporin will help too. If its bad enough, you can try sewing it. ---------- Gary

Same thing happen to me today a falcon smack a red roller it was like a air crash the roller fell unto a stream face down in shock I pick it up and it had a hole on the bottom next to his keel it wasn't bleeding but I pour peroxide in the hole and he die I think it went into his lungs so I think I kill it..it made me feel bad for a minute ,then he went after another one this one was black and hit him and the roller broke his legs hitting the tree and finally he play like he was going away so like playing with the birds fooling them and came back full speed and grab a red one and flew into the horizon.. That falcon was picking his dinner because he hurt two but didn't take them until he got the one he wanted..lock down until Feb...... ---------- Ralph
