If they aren't flying yet,you can carefully tie it's legs close together and put it back in the nest for a few days and this will usually correct the problem.Usually caused by having slippery base in the nestbowl.Leave 1/2' to an inch between the legs when you tie them. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

Try Kelly's advice! This method has worked for me. Tie the legs and put it back in the nest for a few days. Make sure there is enough nesting material in the bowl that it doesn't slip and slide! ---------- Val

the nest mate so i assumed it was enough nesting material and how long do i keep the legs tied two ,threee days or is it more ---------- jerry t

leave it at least a week and then check close for a while to be assured its not happening again

he is diong well now thanks for the help now that he is walking i cant keep him in the nest he keep jumping out i think he even misses meals because he is not in the nest at feeding time

I had this happen to me twice...splayed legs. I took the advise given.... Until I learned to use "sand" in the nest bowel, about 1-2 inches. It gives the youngsters a better footing and also prevents against bacteria, it can't live in sand. ---------- Fly High and Roll On
