Some two weeks ago, my buddy was getting ready for work; he looked out his second story window in to his back yard to see two of his birds out and on the neighbor’s roof
He knew all of his birds were or should have been locked up. So he ran down stairs in to the back yard.
Of the two birds one he had to catch no matter what. He knows that the cooper would come around if he scared the birds up.
So, he grabbed the fishing net and went for the one.. he caught it in the net and just as this all took place Mr. cooper swooped down and grabbed the other bird out of mid air all taking place about 12 feet over his head, he than let out a primal scream and jumping up in the air with the fishing net in one hand and the other pigeon in his other, to his surprise the Mr. cooper let the bird go, the bird crashed in to the house and than hid in a tree.
The bird received a puncture but would live another day.
Their are two funny details I left out...
1) This was the birds second time getting away from Mr. Cooper
2) My buddy was in his Boxers

Yeah, you supposed to scare them and they will drop their prey. One time my homer pigeon was so fat that a hawk can't carry it and they both drop from the sky. I obviously still had to scare it. Sharp-shinned hawk can't probably carry pigeons on the air, but an adult Cooper hawk may.

LOL..he was in his boxers..his neighbors probably thought he was crazy..jk...that bird is a lucky one i guess...but yeah usually screaming would work..or big things that will spook them away..

wow hahaha... lucky bird!!! firecrackers are a NO NO and you could possibly receive a heafty fine if you use them... PLEASE GUYS, BE CAREFFUL ....

you can smack the garbage can top with a stick.it makes loud noise like a firecracker..
