Where are you Kel sorry to say i just saw the posts on Happy Veterians Day
I missed the action I was out of town ...hope you are doing well
HA ... island life is looking better every day , fishing ,hunting , living off the land and pigeons
My brother in law in the US tells me that dick cheney? owns "haliburton" and that his company supplies all the food rations for the us military
How is that not a conflict of interest ? seems like some peoples pockets are getting filled with money while other poor and innocent youth are losing there limbs and don"t have legs to even put on a pair of pants.
Almost 4000 back with severe injuries my heart goes out to the parents of theses kids
Anyways kel how are the rednecks ops i mean donecks?

Right here Johnny!!Evertin cool.Out on the boat today installing a solar panel and cleaning off all the seagull and otter crap, topped up the diesel tanks and actually made it out to set the prawn traps.Filled a 5 gal bucket with 300 nice fat Pacific White Striped Prawns.Had to fight the tide running in Gabriola Pass coming and going but that is always an adventure.Ride the back eddies. Things are good out here in Lotus Land.Come and have a look and we'll show you around.1/2 acre with a house around $350,000 canuck bucks.Good climate too.Lots a work, economy is still hopping in B.C.Winter Olympics coming up in 2010-Vancouver-Whistler. The rednecks are,,,,well,,,,renecks.I was gonna invite 1 or 2 from here out fishing, got some nice heavy shoes for them to wear on the boat.Just kidding.I wouldn't hurt a fly.Well,,,maybe kill the odd fish or prawn but when it comes to human beings,I can't even punch. Not a good place to talk politics or war here.Nasty stuff gets said and I don't get much support being a lefty anti war peace dove pacifist kinda guy. Some folks just don't want to hear other people opinions or the truth. They just don't have an effing clue sometimes. The Donek are doing well but I need to sell some as I have to many already.Breeding Flying Oriental Rollers right now and they are a cool bird.Brought some up From California. Here's some pics.
I won that black OR on the right of this pic and it's mate in an auction last summer. The yellow one and the red one in the middle of the pic were a gift from the fellow who donated the blacks to the auction, Bob Rapp in Penn Valley CA.
This breeder pair of ORs were a gift from Bob as well.Super nice person.

I kept my opinion of the earlier post on veterans day to myself but I will not keep quiet now. Whenever an American issue, be it a holiday, a news event or just plain everyday life happens; every Canadian has an opinion & really can't stand keeping their nose on their own face. If you are a citizen of the U.S.A. you are entitled to an opinion about our issues, if you are not, keep them to yourselves. I love most every Canadian person that I know but they don't pretend to meddle in things that don't concern them. You will never catch me commenting on your issues because it doesn't concern me. I'm going to get off my soap box & not comment further.
BTW, Nice birds! I'm glad you post pictures. I really need to get some up too!

Pete well said in fact you should take your own advise because thats the way most world countries feel about the US who have always stuck their nose and in other countries affairs.A few different points of view have caused such bitterness could you imagine how other human beings feel when an army from another country rolls into their homeland
Hey what ever happened to free speech and the american way.. i get it the double standard its only free speech when you talk about what the majority want to hear I love Micheal Moore productions as he expresses a different point of view the truth
I love american people and i am a humanitarian and a proud canadian.
My family has veterians in it as well who have endured all kinds of hardships and oppression over the centurys, in the past they fought to defend their land when others came to invade it.
It doesnt matter what i have to say anyways, I know Obamma will set things straight
Thats all for now, all the power to yeah brother pete.
Kel How many donecks do you have ? the orientals look great are they good flyers

brudahpete, thanks for the kind comments about my birds. You live in a land that has a lot of force, alot of power. That power affects people all over the world and you say if I don't come from the states,I have no right to speak out on issues caused by your government and US companies.Should I stand aside and say nothing?Sorry my freind. This is a free world and I hurt no one by stating my opinion. ---------- Kel. John, I'm up to 28 Doneks now.The Orientals I got from the states Ive kept them in for breeding and will fly the young out in the spring. One of the hens from that bunch escaped one time shortly after I got them and she made about 10 loops around the house with a couple short spins then a falcon came up behind her and tried chasing her but she outflew the SOB and came back in quick like. Can't wait to get a kit of them flying. ---------- Kel. To the Canadian Members of this Forum, Please drop the politics and stick to pigeons. Many of your posts concerning American politics and the War, have taken on an anti-American tone that I do not appreciate.

Just for the record I am anti war not anti american, seems to me some people are anti canadian and i don't appreciate that.
It does not matter to me where people are from as long as they are good people with good hearts and good intentions like so many on this site.
Yeah I am A bleeding heart hippy from the sixties and I don"t like human suffering at any level
One night I go from watching a documentary of all the returning US solders and they discribe what it was like for them when their jeep was blown up. Young kids the age of my sons crying about their experience and disabilites they now have to deal with lost limbs thousands of young adults affected
I could keep going but iam going to stop now and take this off line and connect with individual offline
Anti -war not Anti American

I stand corrected. We should ALL drop the politics and stick to the pigeons. One last point I would like to make though. The U.S. Armed Forces is made up of VOLUNTEERS that VOLUNTEERED to serve their Country in peace and war. War is not a sanitary act nor should it ever become one. The horrors of war make us think twice before going to war but will never make war obsolete. I feel for every Brother and Sister that has made the ultimate sacrafice or come home disabled. For every individual you have seen in a M. Moore movie complaining about the war, there are three or four that refused to be interviewed because of their pride and belief in the mission they were sent to do. The time to voice disagreement about a war is before the war not during the war! If you do not agree with the war, you can now silently voice your disagreement by taking advantage of every opportunity to assist veterans.

Kel, Send me your email and I can send you a list of veterans assistance organizations that you can send a contribution to. We have many organizations today, many formed by Vietnam veterans, whose sole goal is to ensure that our returning troops are taken care of mentally and physically. As a GREAT nation we have learned from our past and rest assured we will not allow a repeat of Vietnam. I have worked side by side with some of your own elite troops. Please make sure that you and other Canadians are as concerned about them as you are the American troops. As far as education... Brother your facts are wrong. The U.S. military has some of the highest education standards in the world. War has come out of the dark ages and gone high tech and the U.S. military has lead that charge. The U.S. military has for MANY years offered every individual the opportunity to contribute to their education and takes education into account when considering promotions. Go back to your M. Moore movies and look at how many of those "whiners" were bitching about only signing up as a way to pay for college. I sleep well at night!

---------- Mike Trevis The Bigger the Dream the Bigger the Leap
I know you guys want to get off the subject of politics, but I want to share something with. I saw Medvedev on an interview about Georgia. He said that Bush greeted him like they were the best of friends at the olympics, and hid the fact that georgia was in the progress of attacking. This is what was kind of scary: He said the next time the US pulls a stunt like that we will nuke their soldiers abroad, and this will be our warning..I also read on the AP and saw on one of the networks that there are three brigades now activated here at home..why? I dont trust either political party...I think they are one and the same..Same goals different means..Many senators have come forward and said they were threatened with martial law if they did not pass the bail out..What the hell is that!! And now there not even using the money as they were supposed too!
