I finally have it figured out.
I spent at least an hour today cleaning lofts, feed pans, waterers, etc., then realized that could easily be done every other day. That's at least 3-4 hours a week cleaning, making sure those waterers are not stagnant (my personal pet peeve).
But what therapy. Cheaper than a shrink, right?
ha ha!
My son, who is too young to understand, walked through the loft and came up with his idea of the perfect name for this Texas Roller Pigeon operation:
"Birds and Turds"
(He holds a Master's Degree in Smartassology, did I mention?)
I have to admit it has a certain logic.

Oh, thanxalot guys -- I'm not passing these comments along to my son -- he'll think he's validated and never help me feed! ;) But I have to tell you that this can be a disgusting hobby -- the same day, I had a water line break, so I turned off the main valve. Immediately forgot that it also turned off the water to the house, and I messed around with pigeons again, which means -- YOU KNOW WHAT! (Messy hands) Then I went to the house to wash up before getting started on repairing the busted water pipe (if that makes any sense -- cleaning up before you work!), and was totally disgusted that I couldn't wash the pigeon mess off my hands.
Gotta love birds, I tell ya!
