Yep!! food processor cabbage and lettuce, ground fine and just as much as the will consume....i also give them bee polen like you get from the health food store.. It's kinda like powdery small grain.. but they love it.. this is mostly for the breeders... It also works good on bannas,, but that is for my own consumption...

I feed mine veges, too. They like to eat my garden. They particularly like this iceplant that I have. I don't know what they see in them, but they tend to enjoy it.

My birds will go for the clover in my yard first. They will completly wipe out the flowers and then they go for the leaves. They will eat several of the broader leaf weeds that I have in the lot beside the house.
I pull them and throw them in the lofts, I don't let them land on the ground if I can help it! ---------- Val

By the sounds of that Wikepedia blurb on the stuff, doesn't sound like your birds will have much effect on the Iceplant.LOL.Interesting but,I'll know not to import any. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

LOL! That is what I like about that plant. I don't run out! The previous house owner planted that. Our house is on uphill and that plant stabilizes the soil. I was partly happy when the birds discovered that because initially they kept on eating my sprouted tomato seedlings. Now they discovered something that might not run out.
I found a list of plants that are poisonous to them. I'll try to find it again. Pigeons do love to eat their veges.

I just processed some veggies this afternoon & man they cleaned 'em up quick! Never tried to feed greens to them but heck it probably will have great benefits.
