I've used the terramycin eye ointment, tetracycline in the water for a week, and 2/10 0f a cc of Baytrill down the throat for 3-4 days. Could see improvement within 24 to 48 hrs.
Isolate it though, it went through my young birds fast. Had to dose the whole young kit to get ahead of it!
This happened 2 yrs ago to me! I blame it on putting to many young birds in one box, they stressed way to much. Kept the #s down this year and no problem!
Follow up with pro-bias for a week!

my birds have been recently attacked by a symptom kind of like this one.
but in my case, the eyes are also watery and the skin around of the eye is kinds of swollen, (it looks like old old pigeons eye) where the eye lids are like crust.
does any one know what to do?

If its just affecting one eye at a time, I would say its what I was dealing with.My birds didn't get crusty though, just watery and swollen!
I would isolate these birds from the rest and start the Baytril!
I have had very good luck with the Baytril. I get mine from a local vet and he sells me like 5 cc in a bottle for about $10. Might look into it! Not sure that you got the exact problem, but the Baytril works well on most of my problems that relate to respitory infections!
Change your water every day, when your birds are better, clean the waterer with bleach before letting anything else use it! ---------- Val

Roller Heaven..a one eye cold..go to Foys and get.."One eye,one drop, one time"...the small vial will last you a life time..very very effective. Often caused by over crowding..not always.

The one eyed cold symptoms ,show as a bubble/.bubbles in the discharge of liquid in the bottom of the infected eye,it is also early symptoms of respiratory sickness,Baytril And other drugs will treat and cure no prob, but also mask what causes it,would suggest more space /more fresh air is required in boxes per bird, always after using any anti-biotic,use pro -biotic to replace the good bacteria. Fresnobirdman Would look up the symphtoms of pigeon-pox,as this may be related to your problem.

fresn If it is Pigeon Pox,its a virus found all over U.S infection is usually caused by bloodsucking, mite, flies, etc, small pimples around face and eyes which fester and scab over, you can vaccinate against this with Pigeon Pox vaccine, which is inexpensive, but there is no treatment for it when present only to leave it run its course,a good thing is when a bird gets over it,it will never contact it again, building up its own immunity,a case of what doesnt kill you makes you stronger
