I've never tried it, but sorting machine whacks stuff off. Even if I mailed with something like "handle with care. Fragile." message to it, things can still break. I think they do X-ray, but not fully sure. They blast some mails, too, I believe with something that will kill germs after the biological scare here in the US.

Kop, being a prison guard this jargon is old hat. People smuggle dope into prisons by placing it in a baggie & putting it into a spot that I won't describe here. They're joking about doing the same with eggs. Lol!
As for the x-ray, it's a simple scanner, large hatcheries mail eggs all the time, even quail eggs which are comparable to pigeon eggs. As for foreign shipments or border crossings, I don't know.

They are Parrot eggs I use for entertainment and no Pigeon...LOL....
Tony tried this years ago and I was a test subject and not one egg hatched that he sent me......and we did it quite a few times.....I think it is more the tossing the boxes around messing the eggs up.
