Realy depends on where you live and how cold your winters are. I live in sunny Cali and like to pair my birds up the first week of Dec im behind this year due to moving and not having my loft set up yet.

Weather don't affect my birds much here on the Wetcoast.It's the BOP Hawks that don't leave till march so my BRs are put together mid January.

I usually pair up between now and Jan. 1st. But I have to run heat to do that. Last year I raised enough and managed NOT to squander them away( overflys, hawk feeding, etc. ) This year I will put them together in march and only breed about 40 to 50 young.
