I have a squab that cant stand up on its Legs is that Lack of CALCIUM? or something Else. What Meds too use I just started him on Apple cidar (organic)an a half of Calcium pill 11/2 month old squab is this Right or wrong? Thnks Redchecker16

did you have it in a cage with older birds ... or do you have it in a cage with a wire floor that happend to me the bird would eat and would walk always be on the floor so i left him alone then he got better

TAWhatley thanks so its basically lack of vitiamin B & Niacin so 4 how long shld i treat him with Brewers Yeast can Calcium be giving with it?? Redchecker16

Redchecker, I'm just saying that Vit B and Niacin will often turn around a young bird of just about any type that is having leg related problems. You can do the Brewers Yeast along with the calcium. I'd give the supplements for 7-10 days and see if there is improvement. Also, in case you might not be aware, natural sunlight is necessary for birds in order to properly absorb things like the calcium (and vitamin D3 which you should also be giving unless it is already in with the calcium), vitamins, and even the nutrition in their food. Sunlight through a window won't do .. it needs to be natural or light from a very good quality full spectrum light .. sunshine is lots easier and works best.
