I have a yellow hen that I use for a foster. I flew her for a month or two when I got them, She never rolled. Her mate does 4 flips. They are good fosters. I allowed them to have 4 offspring to use as foster next year. I am flying them now. 2 of the 4 are good 15 footers. I am surprised. 2 are only a few months old so who knows what they will do
You never know until you try.

Ricroc, first of all, tell us about your birds & your set up & you'll get a ton of responses. Do you fly from the loft or a kitbox? How many are you flying? How long have you had them? Welcome aboard.

Wow, I`ve raised plenty of them... Some will only flip or try to roll, but still , some never do anything.

Rollers that don't roll or produce rollers are culls. You might consider a new family of birds.

kopetsa.....training has NOTHING to do with a bird rolling. It is inherent.. You can't teach a bird to roll

KOPETSA, YOUR QUESTIONS IS VERY SIMPLE TO ANSWER. AND IM SURE SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN IN ROLLERS ALL YOUR LIFE THAT YOU HAVE MAYBE BY MISTAKE BREED SOME PAIRS THAT ACTUALY BECAME "CLICK PAIRS" AND JUST ABOUT ALL OF THE BIRDS OFF THIS PAIR WERE OF HIGH CALIBER.
WELL, YOU JUST BREED THE OPPOSITE OF A CLICK PAIR. GET RID OF IT, ITS A CULL. UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT AROUND LIKE SOME OF THE GUYS THAT BREED NOTHING BUT PENSOM LINE AND TAKE 18 PLUS MONTHS FOR THEM TO SHOW SOME ROLL. GIVE OR TAKE IN THE MONTHS.
