i have had two birds both serperate time that i accidently pulled their whole tail feathers off... and both times these birds would roll maybe 5 feet at most and then after the tail was gone i noticed that they start rolling to like 15 feet but they loose a lil control could this be just luck that they roll more or is it that losing the tail makes them roll more???
p.s. these birds r just bait so that my youngsters dont get eaten... these should be culls but maybe the bop will eat these culls instead

Silent187, If you are flying right now you will not get the most out of your birds. The falcon will clean you up in the area. Birds need time and some knowledge of how to prepare your birds for kitting and then to pick out the best ones out of your kits to form 1 Kit. Then, you will observe them as they begin to work as a "Team" . Now, thats alot of homework that you will have to figure out on your own or from someone that is willing to assist you in that department. Its not as easy as talking or writing about it. It takes time to learn your birds and what to do to get the best performance from them. Perhaps too much feed and not enough fly time, etc, etc. Best advise would be for you to breed enough birds to fly in March of 2009. Thats when I will be testing the sky here in Rialto, Ca once again and see if the falcon has left the area.

Silent hold off and hold those 7 till fly season you don't have very many birds so hold them so you don't have to keep starting over.

SILVER TAIL,
THAT IS A BIT OF AN EXTREME FOR THESE FALCONS, HOPEFULLY PRETTY SOON THEY WILL TURN ON EACH OTHER. LOL WITH SO MANY OF THEM BEING BRED AND BEING LEFT ALONE NOW AFTER WHAT HAPPEN IN 2007. THEY ARE JUST NOT ENOUGH FOOD FOR THEM. IM MEAN ROLLERS FOR THEM TO GO AROUND.

Thier tail is not the brakes. It is a rudder (steering wheel). The possesion or lack of a tail has very little to do with a birds control of the roll, neither frequency nor depth. Control of the roll is primarily a mental aspect, it is affected by thier physical condition (fitness), but not by the abscence of particular feathers.

You guys continue on providing a lunch menu to them BOP and then wonder why in the world they are becoming resident in your neighborhood.
