Birds are looking HOT!

The way I understand it, is the difference in spangle and mottle is, that a spangle has white flights and a mottle has colored flights!

Can someone clear this up?

Doing some research, I found an old post of Thor's that says: a spangle is of a white bodied bird and a spangle is of a solid colored bird. Both will have white checkers on the wing shields!

Just when I thought I had it figured out!
