Hey rockx.559,
Well all i really use is just an electric heater. Make sure my loft is air tight and a good air purifier in the loft. Every day i open it for a good 10 -15 minutes with a fan running indoor air out for fresh air. Any good warm winter day i'll open the loft all day for fresh air until the sun disappears.

And also rockx.559, just my opinion and what i heard, and experienced is that you don't want it to be too warm in the loft. You want the babies to build immunity to the cold. I keep my loft cold but warm enough for the babies to be ok without being warm by the parents. How i determine that is by takin off my gloves in the loft. If i can stay in the loft for a long period of time and not feel my fingers freezing it's warm enough for the babies to survive on their own warmth. It's -20 yesterday, and still they're surviving pretty well.

My breeding loft is about 4 ft by 8ft and its quite cold at night and I think it doesnt have enough sunlight since my dad's bamboos are next to it and blocks the sun light...they barely get sunlight until 2 pm and then sun goes down at 5pm...hopefully that helps...

Rockx my loft is 4x8 as well....all I did for a light was simply buy a clamp light from homedepot and a fluorescent light bulb. I then ran an extension cord from the outlet in the backyard to the loft. It was very cheap under 10$ for everything id say.
