This baldhead comes each winter and hangs out he feeds on the fish in the drying up canal.

He doesent roll at all though! I have not seen any little hawks since he showed up.

We have those in spades in February thru March. Don't think that they won't take a roller. I've lost one to a Baldy.

nice shot of the eagle,we often see as many as 50 in the trees when the salmon are running.

Great shot. We get couple that migrate through. they do not hang around to long here.
Intersting that you have noticed less small hawk movement around. Figure out a way to keep him around, maybe you will fly with fewer losses. He might get one once in a while but I bet he is less effective then the hawks.

I wish we had a few of those here in the compton watts area sure would help with our bop problems. Maybe we should build a salmon pound in the mid of the hood.lol

You guys ever try the plastic owls they set around to keep the pigeons off of signs and buildings?
Put em out after you fly so you dont freak out your birds. Might keep the hawks from hanging around so much.

that is a nice picture, i heard he is king and ruler, that they even eat hawks, shit if you go online the dam indians have them tamed and trained they were fly and hunting small deer and and cayotes. no wonder you didnt see any other hawks, for once there asses were about to be lunch. dont have any in so cali though. but it must be a great sight, are they loud can you hear them as they fly??
