decent but that does not look pure, it appears to me that is has some English show roller in it..

Looks like Australia is not connected with the rest of the roller world if a bird like that is won a show as a Birmingham. I heard that there was once a rule...somewhere... that a bird had to be certified as a spinner before it could be shown as a Birmingham Roller. I think that might be a good idea to get back to. on the website where this bird was posted, the caption under it said "Champion Birmingham Roller at 2008 Queensland State Show (Australia). This bird is owned by Bruno Blaese, and it is a young cock bird."
I had no idea the Neible birds had made such a huge impact in Australia!
