I am not sorry for your loss spin city (saying it in a nice way). I am really sorry for the people who are going to buy those stolen pigeons and to the theif himself bringing PMV to their lofts. They will learn the biggest lesson ever soon. It was maybe a blessing that those birds were stolen. Think in a postive way and things will work out for the best for you. Good luck with your next batch of spinners.

This is a damn shame. Sorry to hear about your loss. This is definitely one part of the hobby that I'm not looking forward to.
Take some time to relax and I'm sure you'll be back in it by Spring. Good luck.

hi big spin sorry to hear about your birds but as others have said maybe its a blessing the rats that stole your birds will have to contend with the PMV & maybe all the other birds they ripped off from other people will get infected also it would be nice to get an inkling who they were so you could beat the snot out of them atleast you would have that gratification so just hang in there and dont let some low lifes get you down all the best in the future thanks rick

not trying to steal the thread, but same happened to me over a year ago...lost everything and I just dont have the heart to start back up again right now. Paul had given me alot of really nice birds and still feel horrible about it.
Hopefully someone will spill it about PMV and maybe you'll get your birds back.

SpinCity, most likely it's someone you know. You should have kept the PMV info to yourself as news travels fast in our small pigeon world. If you were the only one that knew your birds were infected then it would have been a short matter of time before you heard about someone having a bunch of sick birds in their loft. My opinion.

We`ve gone down this road before. Keep in touch with all you local roller buds. Someone who knows your birds and setup, and was probably at your place sometime. Dang fool probably looked you in the eye, shook your hand, and knew what he was going to do. They`d have to try awful hard to be lower than that. Thats right up there with doing a friends `ol lady... Dang! You Guys out West sure do have a problem with ya Rollers getting stolen. How does this happen??? Its every 2 weeks and someone is posting that birds have been stolen from them. There is only one cure for this.. Do not talk Roller to people that's not in the Hobbie, Keep your stock hidden and stay on the down low... Do no let every Tom, Sam, and Larry know what you've got....unless you know this person and trust this person around your Birds............JMO! MaYo

I've said it once and I'll say it again... It is and always has been my contention that a roller thief is a mentally dilapidated excuse for a vomitus mass posing as a human being. It’s unfortunate that the anemic value system of some people is so deteriorated that they would risk going on another grown man’s property to steal a bird. Yes my friends we all love rollers but when all is said and done, to risk one’s life over a creature who’s intelligence barely exceeds that of the perch it stands on, only gives us a clear vantage point of the pathetic character that is clearly displayed in this thieving animal’s apparent but unfortunate cerebral departure.
It has always been my hope however un-Christian like, to have the opportunity to engage one of these pitiful cowards in a physical confrontation that would go down in the annals of foot engaging orifice history. However I’ve yet to be honored with this privilege but look forward to the meeting with an intriguing sense of bliss.
For those of you who have had this unfortunate travesty interrupt your enjoyment of such a wonderful hobby, I as a fellow roller-man am sorry. However it is imperative that you keep in mind that many of us who have not experienced this type of loss still empathize with you and in more cases than not, would be glad to assist in getting you back on track with birds again.
If anyone happens to be reading this post and the shoe happens to slide on your foot rather easily, please take note that being a pigeon thief puts you in a very precarious position and there are some of us who will take delight in presenting you with a dilemma.
Although I was a regular for a while, and even moderated the site for a very short period, I haven’t posted here for quite some time and do not recognize many of the names I see, therefore I’m sure most here will not know who I am because of my absence and I do not have the popularity of some. Yet I see it’s still an informative place to be with a group of nice guys. For those who are good roller men, I salute you and look forward to enjoying the hobby with you in the near future.

Marlon that's terrible! Sounds depressing to hear about as it puts a blemish on the sport on just who you can seriously trust nowadays.
I live out here in Northern California and when I was a teenager in the 80's guys would steal other peoples birds. Can't imagine today that people are still out there taking other folks pigeons... but guess I'm wrong... they still do.
Thank GOD I never got hit by pigeon thieves. Don't know what I would do. To this day I'm very, very, very cautious about who I let visit my home.
Hang in there bro!
