This is a good topic and you guys should do it..when i started to read this threa it seems good but as i scroll there is alot of this"$#%^$#%" and bleep. and alot of excalmation marks lol..

Abel,
That sounds good to me...you are right about Scott being the judge...we wont have huge scores in the 1,000pt range that is for sure.....April sounds good to me.......It all depends on when our area flys the W/C...We usually fly around April...so That sounds good if we can get all the logistics worked out..and we are not close to a comp..then I will be in training and would not want to mess up the big show.....we would for sure have to think of a wager...We can arm wrestle afterwords....if I lose in the fly...LOL>....
Brian..I dont care about winning or losing...king or queen....this is just good fun..It has a lot to do with luck too....

Aren't you all going to fly in the California State fly? Just make sure you all qualify and then you can fly in the finals.

The only weekend that I have off is March 21st and 22nd and 28th and 29th......in april I dont have a weekend off until the 18th and 19th of April and that is to close to the W/C Prelims.....
So would March any of the March dates work...rock and ROLL...Paul

WAIT A MINUTE. Marlon King of Vegas? As I recall I won the last fly we had here and currently am in 1st place by a nose over Angel in our Summer Fly Series! King of Vegas has always been the person who won the last fly here! Next fly chances are great that someone else besides myself, Marlon, and George will be King of Vegas! So I'll toot my horn now as it won't be long before it hits a sour note! Regardless, Marlon has the stuff to compete! Internet challenges are great, but how often do they happen. My challange I previously made to Abel when he previously made the same day same judge put up the money challange awhile back still stands. I pay for my trip to his house, he pays for his trip to my house. We split the cost of the judge and loser buys a steak dinner for all 3! I haven't seen Abel fly but based on his record and reputation and based on my opinion of my birds, I would say Abel would most likely win 6 or 7 out of 10 flys against me. But maybe the day of the Steak challenge would be my day! (702)348-8200 is my phone Abel. My goal would be create a win/win situation that gets me to see your birds and you to see mine and have some great roller fun. Marlon could even throw his hat in. He knows what I have and I know what he has! Now if the steak dinner isn't enough incintive vs. a $ amount of cash, then I'm not interested as that would take alot of the fun out of doing it. Wouldn't it be great to be able to see the great roller fliers in the past fly against each other and those in the present and the future? Abel, Marlon, and I, and many many more are good roller fliers, but to put our selves on the same plateau as Monty Neibel, Don Ouellette, and the best of the best is way premature. We have a long way to go to be considered that. Right now we are legends in our own minds! Not meant to offend anyone! Abel, Marlon, and myself are not on any pedastal above numerous others out there who fly good rollers. My hope is when my time comes I end up in Roller heaven with all the roller friends and great people in the hobby and we have the greatest and most enjoyable shows and flies of all time! Tony, hope we aren't crossing the line on this as I know there was issue with money challenges being posted awhile back. Everyone enjoy your next fly! Don M. LVRC

hi don i accept your challenge the only thing is the wager has to be free barebcue for everyone that attends which has ended up being anywhere from 400 to 600 dollars the last times we have done this if u can do this post it up ill call u and we can arrange a day i spoke with jv already he can be the judge let me know if this is a problem i hope it isnt cause im hungry lol

I am ready again been gone for a while. had to step back because of all the politics and bulls--t that i cause upon myself.
am enjoying my birds like I use to before. it gives me so much more satisfaction to do the backyard thing.
So i decline to fly against Abel Ibarra
been there done that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why beat around the bush am open to any challenge win or lose it about having fun and if i cant have fun I dont want any part of the shinanigans that make this hobby suck

There is no King of Vegas or King of Rollers. U know what your capable of flying Marlon! Glad to see you have fun back in the rollers. We have all had our ups and downs in this hobby and you and I know the challenges we have faced to come to the point where the Las Vegas Roller Club is about having fun and we are doing that! Don't forget to thank George for that!
Abel, I'll accept the challenge as I presented. Loser buys a steak dinner for the 2 flyers and the judge. Now if we throw in the barbeque on top of that I'll split the cost with you- win or lose! A barbeque with roller friends on top of getting to see in the air what the Abel birds are about that bring top $ at all the show auctions I've been to the past couple of years. Now that sounds like a real roller event and roller fun! How do you like your steak? Just in case, I like mine medium rare! Enjoy your next fly! Don M. LVRC
