I use Vetafarm wormout ge..A water soluble bird wormer. Contains 20 grams per liter of Praziquantel and 20 grams per liter of Oxfendazole. For the treatment of Thread worms (Capillaria), Tape worms (Railletina Cahoanotaenia), Round worm (Ascardia), Caecal worm (Heterakis Gallinarum), Hook worm (Acuaria) in caged and aviary birds and pigeons. Comes in a pump bottle and each pump dispenses 2 ml/cc. All cage birds: Add 2 ml/cc to 160 ml/cc (1/6 gallon). Pigeons: Use 2 ml/cc to 320 ml/cc (1/3 gallon) each to a gallon of drinking water for 2 days. Remove all other sources of water. It is suggested that you worm your birds four times a year. its important to give the probiotic or pro-vital after that ..or some yogurt I throw a tablespoon on the water front good for friendly bacteria..after worming.. Chris, The 4 in 1 that I get from Foys is an antibiotic for treating canker, E-Coli, Paratyphoid and Coccidiosis. Since it is an anti-biotic I don't think it will help in worming your birds. Also anytime you use a antibiotic like 4 in 1 you should follow it with a probiotic treatment to replace the natural gut bacteria that the antibiotic killed. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

Chris, If you want to use pills I recommend the Vetafarm plus tablets. Foys sell them, They are an effective wormer plus they help prevent coccidiosis. I have used them on newly weaned bird in the past with success. Again follow the treatment with a probiotic. Probiotic can be as simple as Ralph explained above, just add a teaspoon of yogurt to their water for a couple of days. I recommend care in using 4 in 1 too often. Since it is an antibiotic birds and bacteria can build up a resistance to it over time. If I was going to use it I would treat my birds before breeding them. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

Worming:
Things to do: (1)You should worm your birds at least (2) times a year. (2) Rotate your worm medication, if you use the same wormer every time it will be less effective over time.
Wormout Gel & Tablets Bayverm Ivomec Drench, Injectable, Ivomectin Piperazine Wormer Chevita's Ascapilla+ Levamisole Vetafarm's Wormout Plus Above is a list of the different type's of wormer's available. There are several more on the market pick the best 2 or 3 and go from there. Remember when you worm your birds to give them fresh water after you worm them & a good idea is to give them a Probotic after that. Do not mix medications and remember that the 4 & 5 in 1 medications are made for Racing Homers and you can cause problems for Rollers.
Glenn
P.S. If you get the birds off the ground (Wire Floors) your birds will be very healthy and you will use a lot less drugs.
