These are the reason I came up with, but it's not likely it. 1)Attracts hawks 2)Dominant color, usually inbred with a lot of birds 3)Not attractive because there is no color patterns 4)Not interesting 5)White usually produce blk eyes (white&yellow/orange more attractive) 6)Not for the color, but for the roll.
There could be thousands of reason why one fanciers chooses to not breed white birds.
As for me, I breed any kind of colors. Even the ugliest seem to be the best spinner. ---------- W.Cha

That is a self explanatory question... They did not meet his standard to be in his breeding loft. Bill C

Something about another Flier claiming that all Monty's bird were from this other guys loft, That Monty never had anything special that he breed and it all came from this other guy. And he can prove it by the whites.
Thats a story i heard

I don't know he reasoning for not really using the white flighted birds but I know that his birds throw white. One of the originals I received was blue check w/flt cock.I also have a video of Monty inside of his breeder and you can clearly see that their are some white flighted birds there and are also some badges hanging out in the sun pen. He may not have used a lot of it for what ever reason but it was surely there. I have been getting more white flighted birds here lately. They have been blue check w/flt or blue bar w/flt. I plan on using them if they're worth using.

Yes they most certainly do throw white, and he had a few in stock also. The story goes that he gave away many of those that showed white due to another flyer up in BC trying to lay claim that Monty used some of his birds within his family. Apparently this flyers birds were heavy marked and he kept pushing a few of them on Monty , Monty accepted a few in order not to hurt any feelings, and down the road this flyer than claimed his birds as part of Montys family. ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

Todd Tom Hatcher breed #266 in 1978 but in 1984 Don Miller of Utah purchased 266 and breed 92 a cock and 8409 hen. These two were paired (half bro/sister from differant hens) and a full kit of twenty birds were raized out of them. That kit won the Northwestern International in 1989. Don Miller got pigeon Lung and Clint Hollingworth purchased the birds and it was not until 1992 that Tom Hatcher got 266 back after Clint died in a car accident. I would say... Don Miller made 266 famous.. my guess is Hatcher didn't know the potential of 266. 92 and 8409 were more important than 266 was. Monty Neibel took notice of Don's kit and then the birds at Clint's.. and acquired birds off of or related to #8409. 8409 was a Dark Check Hen. 8409 dam was Hatcher birds from Plona/Smith lines..patterns and colors of badges, lavenders, checks, Lavender, red bar. etc. Mixed with Bruce Coopers 3757 Black Bronze cock son of 514 you have a dose of Neibel birds. Few people can fly the birds because they are so strong. Brad winward

I have no white so far in my Niebels. all selfs and mine were imports to start with.. they are very hard family to work with very feed sencitve. if you have the feed right they rip ass but if not there they will drive you nuts. i love the family but man there hard to work with . it takes good managemet. i had my first one out of 4 years roll down today and its a young birds. they come in about 8 to 10 months you have to give them a chance and not give up to soon. when there on they put on a show. i fly my old birds evry 3 days. seems to work out good. and only feed them wheat. i had a set back this year from a team getting lost from the falcon. got 12 back out of 17 and had 5 old birds that the falcon had for dinner. all them i was going to breed from. i dont mind the selfs. this family is not for just any roller guy i have learnd that but im doing ok with them. will see how this year gos. got 13 pair down. i had jacs in the 90's and they were much easyer to fly day to day. chris in AZ

Chris I feed white wheat rather than red. That way I can feed them small amounts of Safflower and Peas to keep them conditioned better. Brad winward
