11:59 AM First up, I Just Want To Say For Those Who Have a Problem With
Me and My Yellows, Close this Topic Now!
Some say there is a problem, like you will lose roll or get rolldowns; I have heard both.. (and those of you know who I am talking about.. lol) But I would like to hear everybody's opinion on this. For example If I breed a 30-40 dilute yellow to a 15 ft dilute, what do you 'think' I would get?

This is not fair, he can talk about whatever he wants to its a roller pigeon website..as long as its roller pigeon related. just because hes getting all the attention dont mean anything maybe you just need to try harder TO GET HALF OF THE ATTENTION HE GETS!!..right..i dont want to make enemies on this site but i read all these BS about people on this site..im sure hes not 12 years old.. more like 17 ...

If you haven't been on here much maybe you should go read NORM_KNOX'S thread about helping newbies in the sport. You are probaly one reason why NORM_KNOX posted that thread!

I obviously know what it looks like because I have a whole tonne of them but where has this originated from in the Birmingham roller? How long has it been around for? What color is it, dilute red? How do people breed for it if they don't have any? Is it some kind of almond tone? another one of his sesame street yellows!!

First up, I'm not 12. I just want to say that its the pr**** like you that ruin this site NOT ME. I am not stopping experienced breeders from posting good posts they just choose not to. And I will ask whatever the **** I want as long as I want to know something.. Wow am I ever famous you and your newbie friends are talking about me.. SWEET! ;) Who are you anyways? Maybe pay attention to all post, you would see A LOT were about performance.. I have never had a single problem with 'old timers' and the experienced roller men.

i dont mean no harm but its a little baffling to me that you guys would waste a day out of your weekend to discuss your dislikes about kopetsa. it seems to me you may have a lil to much time on your hands. now im a newbie and i agree that when i first started on this forum alot have changed for the worst but there is alot still being learned . now your intitled to express your concerns put you didnt have to do this publicly you could have hit his private email and then had your say but it seemed like you wanted to humiliate him. which is not cool at all this is one of them meaningless post that" stoped the old timers from posting " this is one of your post simular to the ones your ripped on kopetsa about "color" is this meaningless or is that you had a queston that you didnt know the answer to ??????? NO DISRESPECT INTENDED---------

Gentlemen, before this goes any further and gets out of hand, CHILL OUT!!
Andrew, this is a roller forum, you have every right to ask any question you like if it pertains to rollers.
rollingline33, if you don't like posts that relate to color, don't read them. Are things really that slow in LA that you sit around discussing Andrew's post?

Rollingline33.
You have too many L`s in your name and I dont like it. I think you guys with L`s in your names shouldn`t post because it bothers me.
Also rollingline33,your typing skills and grammar are appalling. Did you graduate from kindergarten?
Wait! I can answer that for you in the negative. If you had you would know the first thing they teach you is to get along with others, milk and cookies are good and YELLOW AINT A RARE COLOR! It is red. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth there pal.
You`re gonna come on here with your puny little 144 posts and try to run the board? What a joke.
Maybe you should follow the consensus and take your own advice.

Nice one Kenny, don't like ls huh, glad I only got one in my name.
Andrew, You are obviously a young man with an intense interest in the hobby. Color seems to be high on your preferences and thats okay. I might recommend a couple of websites that provide a good discussion of color genetics. Ron Huntley's rare color site
http://www.angelfire.com/ga/huntleyloft/Page1.html
and Frank Mosca's site http://www.angelfire.com/ga3/pigeongenetics/
Also study some of the work done by Dr. W.F. Hollander and Joe Quinn.
Dr Hollander addresses the gene "ro" which he describes as the genetic propensity to roll. The reason it is lowercase ro instead of uppercase RO is because the gene is recessive. Since it is recessive it is real easy to breed away from the ro gene while breeding for other traits such as color, feather, etc.
That has happened in the past and the oldtimers will tell you it is harder to breed the roll in than it is to breed it out. Good Luck in your quest for further knowledge about these crazy birds.

rollingline33, why dont you leave Andrew alone worry about yourself and your "projects". How does it impact you if Andrew has a color project?? Is it goin to make your birds roll shitty???? So please leave him alone and let him learn what he wants to know. The future of this great hobby is on us younger guys, some like colors, and some like me dont care.
PS.

Rollingline33 aka Big Rob..kinda got the tuck head since early this afternoon. I checked your profile and since you came in to the hobby in 06..welcome to the hobby. Ya know, there is ample room for you AND Andrew here. One of the benefits of this site is you can ask questions about your roller pigeon hobby and hopefully get some answers. If not, we will dig and shake the bushes and get one for you. You want comp. guys to post..ask some questions. Get active with the positive questions that will make the "old farts" dig in their archives to find the answers. That makes for great learning for all of us. By the way..I have an old family of George Patterson Plona Yellow's that will give your eyeballs exercise from 12 to 6 until they(the eyes) get tired. And the birds have been around a loooooong time. rollingline33,

You don't need to answer/read any thread that you don't like. Kopetsa seems to love yellow. I don't have problem with that. One of the reason why old timers are not posting anymore is probably because most questions are already answered in the past. Is there really new things in roller world?

I was a beginer and had a lot to learn as well and the types of questions I see from Kopetsa are the same type I had. This is a site for learning and asking questions.

There is not a person on this site that was not a newbie at some time I have had roller pigeons for 30+ years and I am stil learning. Now that I live in a place where I can be in flying competitions I am starting the learning process all over again.

Luckly there are some in my local club that are always willing to help and there are the few that wont give you the time of day if you paid them. "The ones that have learned it all."

So the H--- what if this newbie wants to raise a yellow!I dont breed for color, I find blue or red checks dont roll as well as my whites.

Kopetsa ask away on your questions I will always be willing to help if I know the answear.

Why did he cull his whites? is a very valid question.
Was he a color breeder that only bred blues?

If it spins it has a home!

Now children.....lets stop all this arguing and fussing......LOL
You do have to admit, their is a time and place for very question. It is bothersome to see some of the "same" questions asked by different people. Its seems that alot of these newbie questions are too far in advance.. As a "beginner" their is a certain order of questions to be asked and learned. Like how to get started, feeding, housing and general training. It takes time to absorbe these things. All questions come in time..
I don't think a newbie can absorbe and retain all these different answers. There are certain steps to follow as far as learning what to do with your birds. It is a step by step process. Learn things that pertain to you at the level of your experience. Don't try to ask questions that should be ask at this time.. All will come. Just be patient
One more thing...I read the threads and if I feel I can add to the thread I will post and answer. If I feel the thread is out of place I just "Ignore" it.
