Spank you're inspireing me to breed 150 birds ! The only problem is I only have 3 kit boxes that hold 24 birds each so I would have to build another 3 boxes.

Too cold for us here in N.E. Ohio. We start breeding mid March - early April if the weather holds. I don't know if I am going to breed allot this year since I still have three kits of holdover from last year. I am going to fly the heck out of them early spring and cull the ones that don't make the cut and go from there. However, I am still going to breed the best breeder pairs just to get more of their youngsters.

I pair up on Valentines Day.
Running 4-5 pairs and 12 fosters. Probably breed 50 or so.
Nice thing is I got a new position at work. 8:00-5:00 for a change. I will be flying the snot out of them this summer.
I think my program is going to take a turn for the better this year. I feel more confident now than I ever have in my knowledge and management of my birds.

Gabe that's terrible that you lost so many birds to the b.o.p. The other day I was out repoing in Moreno Valley and seen a kit of birds flying I stoped and met the guy named (Black) he had some nice birds. You proabably know him. He said he was'nt loosing too many birds. He's lucky to be still flying. I'm on lockdown. Good luck to all.

All my pairs are together and on eggs....the first round I never keep...so they are going to a guy in the mid west.....then the rest are for me....I do get the occasional hawk so not a good time to train young birds...by the time my second round is ready....the hawks have packed up and moved....The A team and B team are doing great....A-team is down to 17....I pulled a cock and three hens for the stock loft....The B team has been doing VERY well...real active...other than that same shit different day....

I pulled a real nice 08 cock...I will post a photo of him tomorrow...

i will put my down in feb 1 iam not in a big rush but i will be putting down 10 pair of sammy william birds. i have tried breeding 20 plus pairs in the past to much work for me. that only was happening because i was breeding to many families. i still got two families the william and kgb birds in the middle of the breeding season i will put down 4 pair of kgbs
I find for my self its better to keep your program small but efective its much easyer to manage one or 2 familes compare to 5 just me to many families to many problems not all families are compatible

Sal, I know what you mean I have way to many families I just sold all of my easley birds. And I have cut my caspersons down to 3 pair. I will be breeding from 4 pair of comp birds John Jones stuff and 3 pair of starley stuff. I will be breeding from 2 pair of the hiltons. 2 pair of the Hoyle. I will be flying them all together like I did this year. I have to cut down thats for sure. But I love them all so I need someone to talk some sense into me. Oh ya I just go 2 pair of Fireballs to.

So many spinners so little time!

Lol! David, that's a huge reason that I'm focusing on the bellnecks. I could go really crazy if I tried to do too many families at once. BTW, I got through my surgery & will be back in the swing of things in a couple of days.
