Jnyce how well do you know him? How far away does he live from you?? If you know him very well and he lives near by just take his birds for him. Maybe he can fly outta your backyard?

Yeah I have that fear as well live in an association. My yard is nice and clean and my next door neighbor is really cool.I've only been back in the hobby since June 08 and was pretty cauious when flying before BOP lock down. I had about 20 birds before lock down and would fly in 3 seperate kits 6 to 7 birds at a time back to back so i would not have so many birds up in the air at one time where it would be so noticable. One day I was out front just to take a look up in the air to see what was going on in the front far as seeing the birds and notice a neighbor across the street and his son looking up at my birds. He yell to me are those your birds I walked over to him saying not so loud and went on to say yes I'm training them. he went on to say yes me and my son watch them everyday they are wonderful to watch he went on to explain the performance of some of my top birds I was really taken aback that he was paying attention so well that he noticed what the birds were actually doing and who was doing it better. LOL I told him to keep it on the under because I don't want to cause too much attention to my house nor my birds. I've been on lock down since 11/8/08 but plan to put them up again in early March I have 26 now 8 of which i have yet to fly as well as 7 squabs and 7 eggs that are to hatch in the next 10 days which will be 40 birds. Wish me luck guys I would be so upset if I would have to get rid of my birds I mean extremely pissed. My birds don't hang out they kit for 30 to 45 mins land on my roof and trap within 5 mins of flying. If I were to have to deal with the association I would be what's the problem there in the loft most of the time? Like I said my next door neighbor is pretty cool My loft is along the fence we share maybe 30 feet distance from his house and my birds never land on his roof as of yet.But people do have the tendency to change hope he doesn't trip out and cause any problems for me down the road these birds bring me so much peace!

Hey Butch I pray for you that everything would remain cool for you.I know what it feels like back in the old days I use to fly on rooftops and the people would complain that would hear my footstep when I walk and believe me I try to tippy toe when I was up there so no one would hear me.then when I had to get rid of them because the superintendent gave me warnings I just move them to other rooftop that I didn't even live in the building of.but hey anything to keep my birds flying and keep my insanity from the the streets down below.onetime that superintendent made me get the birds off the roof so I made a window coop in my first floor apartment imagine when the landlord saw that.a fight to behold anyway I took them out and believe me or not I kept 30 birds in a small studio apartment in a long hallway I had everyday I come home from work and I clean the cages .. years without flying I did that so you can imagine what these birds meant to me... like you said it gives so much peace .a peace that a boy like me needed from an abuse father to growing up in street gangs ..to me its more than just a hobby ...its therapy man..a way of life..but they must fly for in order for me to be free... Hope you never have to go through that.at least not with your neighbors always when you talk to them mention this I always say my birds never poo when they out flying because they haven't eaten for 24 hours and they eat after they fly.so they don't poo on anything when they are in the air and when train right they never bank on no ones property but their own and they are very clean and healthy ..--------good luck..

try flying when every body is still asleep.and no body will notice the birds.you just haveto get into the good habit of going to bed early so you can get up early, that is the only way it is going to work.that is what i am going to keep doing.no body will know you have the birds.

ain't it a shame that we went to war for the freedom of those been persecuted by the taliban, and when freed by those opressors those that had their birds in hiding all this time flew their birds to represent their freedom and yet in our own back yards we are been opressed by our own community. so much for the land of the free and brave when we have to.hide our own birds sounds familiar.if we contenue to let this same people threaten our own rights and freedoms we will be living no diffrently than those other thirworld country for whom we go fight for!!!!!!!!!!!

just a thought central.
