that bird come from COMPTON a guy name boo!!! its a young 1, bout 3 or 4 months old... he didnt like the color so it was given 2 me...

Is it a blue grizzle or a tort?
Either way it's a relatively common colur if you breed grizzle/tort series rollers.

I GOT BLUE GRIZZLES & RED GRIZZLES, U GOT 2 SEE THAT BIRD IN PERSON I GUESS, OH AN I GOT A FEW TORTS... A TORT IS A BIRD THATS 3 COLORS.......AN THAT BIRD IS 3 COLORS WITH A BAR ON IT!!!! I BEEN DOING THIS BIRD THANG 4 21 YEARS, I NO THE COLORS....

Actually Grizzle is a modified gene that is covering up the actual true color of the bird. This bird is, or appears to be without seeing it up close or knowing the patterns the parents carried, a blue bar with the grizzle modifying the color. The tail and end of the flights seem to verify this. I get these quite reqularly in what little tort. grizzle I have. They come down out of some Don Ouellette birds. My son bred an Almond a few years ago that shows the bars. Fun to see what can come out in different patterns and colors! Thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Don M. Mac's Rollers
