Hey guys, I had came to a conclusion that I will no longer participate or post on this site. It has became simply something else than it was indented for. Its purpose was to connect all the roller people together and help educate one another. But for the past couple of months it has become a ruthless beast and it already discouraged many young people in their pursuit in this great hobby. With that said I will delete my profile, but I will still support Tony C. in any way possible. I will continue to purchase pigeon products from him. I wish all of you guys the best, and may all of your dreams and success come true in 2009.
Thanks, Norm “N/A Lofts” ---------- N/A Loft

Norm, don't run away. Aren't you a positive person? This site needs positive people to counteract the negative ones. Why not stay and help make it a better place? Pat's right -- be a DUCK! :)

I have a tattoo on the top of my right hand that reads:

I guess Norn knows his.......
Most of us here would "like" you to stay on. But a man has to do, what a man has to do... Be true to yourself.. Good luck Norm ---------- Fly High and Roll On

It always amazes me how thin skinned some people are. This always happens this time of year. Everyone get a little cabin fever with there birds in lock down, no flying competitions, and this years breeding season not quite going for most. All there is to do is argue about pigeons. Hey! At least we are talking PIGEONS!
Relax out there. If you don't like the thread just ignore it. Don't let it ruin your day!

P.S. My breeders are on eggs. I'll have young birds to look forward to soon. 8<)

Hey Norm, dont dont delete. Those are wise words from Hector, they have put him thru the ringer a lot. You are a grown man and you have got to be true to yourself. But I have a feeling that you will be back, you love the hobby and your friends here too much otherwise you would have just not posted anymore and people would have been asking:"what happened to Norm Knox"? Either way good luck to you and your birds. Jay ---------- They gotta Spin to win.....Jay

Norn im telling you this as I am your aprentis and you my mentor along with many mentors I have aquired in the roller hobby I first started out being a color breeder and performance was not much of an interest to me I was a kopesta to say it in words that I loved color and would not fly my birds in just a case that a BOP might take one of the pretty birds I had bred well I have now learned from trial an error and I was given so much greif about how my birds where nothing but color bred POS pigeons well I fought threw it with an iron heart and with a heavy fist the point im trying to make is stick with it threw the thick and the thin it will get better you just need to give it time I dont know if you are married but this site is like a marrage you have given us your love and heart you may not get out what you have put into it but others do get what you have inspired people to do and how to live

Hey guys, I visited the site to delete my profile but don’t know how to do it. LOL It is not me that people attack but these young guys just getting into the hobby. I’m not a color breeder nor do I care about it. I’m one of those guys that’s STRICTLY PERFORMANCE and nothing else. BUT it just sickens me to see so many bright young people get roasted on here for asking simple questions that we all asked when we first started out. I have had 3 people call me telling me they do not want me to send them birds to start them out because of all the darn bull they have either read on here or were personally attacked. IN MY MIND when something like that happens it hurts me because they might have been the next Pensom or Scott C. or Monty N. or Jerry K. Higgins…… Now my friends that is the true tragedy in my book because the way I see it we just hurt not only them but ourselves as a community.

Norm, diversity is a good thing especially in a roller pigeon site. I think there is plenty of education going on in here for the new guy. I did not understand your first post but now I do understand you better.
We all have oppinions about rollers and the conversation is best when you are not forced to go along with what is popular or unpopular with regards to rollers. These kids you speak of need to live in the real world. If it is in their blood to fly rollers then they will get them no matter what I say or anyone esle.
I know of a few that dont like the BS that goes on in our local club. They often complain but never step up to help out or make an improvement. Then there are the guys who are always involved and fly their birds in the local comps even though they do not all agree with how its run or what ever.
Tony can't please everyone. As I understood some were posting degrading remarks and I read a few before they were deleted. Like, "you make me sick and make my skin crawl". Stuff like that. This was comming from some young guys on here.
You see the edit and delete above your post in the corner. That works. But I think and hope you will still post your oppinions. We may not all agree with you or with me or any post. It is what it is.
Guys gave me a hard time on here and on another site when I first started. It takes time to understand what goes into these rollers and the new guys can handle constructive critacising when needed. Many things get stretched out of context sometimes. I have a hard time believing a young guy doesnt want rollers because someone hurt my feelings.? If you get out of rollers that easy maybe they shouldn't have gotten into them in the first place. Bill C

Whatever happened to the days when you could stop by a neighbor's house & watch? Maybe from a distance for a while until you were sure he noticed that you were interested & invited. I learned a lot by being politely curious as a boy. We who have been at this need to understand that a lot of these newbies don't have neighborhoods like we did or an uncle in the hobby. What I'm trying to say is, New guys, be patient and try not to second guess the old timers & Old timers, Take a new feller under your wing like your uncle or grandpa did. ---------- http://www.freewebs.com/brudahpete/

Mr. Knox I wish you would reconsider, this site can use all the 25 year plus veterans it can get. Yes, some of the youngsters can come off like yahoo's but in their own newbie way's they are asking for help from the Senior Roller Men... and you Sir fit the Bill.
