roller heaven,
If my memory serves me correctly, Black Rain was a Black Mottle or Black Grizzle depending on who you talk to. I had a kit of birds that I bought from Mr Jaconette that supposedly were out of Black Rain and its progeny.

Sunflower,
When You say wiffle, wiffle, splat, You were talking about Your Birds, Right? Black Rain died in Jaconettes breeding loft. She was not a rolldown. A large number of Birds across this Country are down from Her.I personally have many Black Rain bred Birds and they have great Speed, Quality, and Depth. Richard gave Danny Horner Black Rain's last Squeak when She was 10 years old. RJ913, Red Check Self, and Danny has raised many Quality Birds from that line. Very stable Birds.

Yes Chuck was talking about the birds I got from Mr J. If you are happy with them, I'm happy. The ones we got (48 of them) didn't work out but I'm sure there are some great ones out there.

No Ralph, I was talking about the birds we brought back from Calif. that were supposed to be out of Black Rain and family. I have no idea what happened to Black Rain, probably died of old age in San Diego. I'll have to tell you the story about that trip sometime, it was a hell of a road trip!!
