Bill, You might have been impressed because that post was a quote from Tom Monson...........I just agree with it. Tom is good at taking an idea and putting it to paper in a way that is easily read and understood. That probably explains why he is a good attorney. ---------- Just My Take On Things

Gents..thats what I am talking about!! I shall print and put into the file today. We who have read it can refer to it in the future when the "Pied Pipers" come trying to convince folks otherwise.
All who put forth a post, with good intentions, thank you..for..for once we have a good post on the subject. Thank you again..Tom Monson via Nick Bruce ---------- De Oppresso Liber

Thanks David for moving this up for me. The Monson info from Nick Siders answered a lot of questions I had. I still believe I have raised some brown grizzles out of some stuff I got from Mee. But I also thought Bob Brown from England had some brown birds also. There was some old guy over in England anyway I had read had some browns. I also realize I'm no expert and what I think I'm seeing could be a result of some other factor or modifier. I do know it was the only family I had in my loft from 2001 until 2008 and I only had about three I produced out of 150 or so. I guess I need to cull all my Mee stuff now that I found out brown is impure. Don't anyone tell his birds they can't roll especially after he's attained master flyer status and has one of the best flying records in the NBRC. Maybe I just got the mongrels out of his world cup kit. Aw hell I'm keeping them anyway. Brown or whatever f ing color they are.

David,
Out of the three I produced I only one left. One was culled, one was hawk feed and I have one in a hold over group. They were hatched in different years but the original stock they came out of were ash red cocks carrying blue, mated to black pepperhead hens. I know I have one I'll try to take a pic tomorrow. She's a brown lightly grizzled pepperhead hen. I hadn't taken any pics of them before because I didn't know they were uncommon.
