i'm new to this forum and hobby i would appreciate it if any one heard this in Sacramento,Ca banning anything that crows pigeon,rooster,chicken,ducks ect.thank u for ur time...

Pigeons don't crow,they coo.There is some guys on here from that area,maybe they can help you.I think this subject was talk about not to long ago.

i know pigeon dodn't crow, but pigeon was included so i just wrotr what i see sorry

Pigeons are catagorized with Crowing Fowl because they do crow (cooing is crowing) and they are edible.

Hi. im also from sacramento,ca. since i was planning to get into rollers in the future i email 311.. All they say is that you need to take good cares of the bird and join a pigeon club.. so yah there no big deal about it.. and good luck..=)

I believe you can have one , but pigeons are not included. ( thats what i have heard )

I know in Rancho Cordova you cant have Roosters, pigeons, pheasants, and etc...My cousin is from there and he order a Rooster from MN and some how the animal control tracked down online and rated there house...It was a good thing he got rid of it before they got there...My cousin also mention if pigeon are allow as pets but the animal control say you cant raise them also...Dont know how it is here in Sac...

Things are getting bad the county's and city's here in Calfiornia are baning every thing.SACBEE said that elk grove wants to do some thing about bee keepers.
There will be a chicken show on feb-7-09 there will beed 3 tons of feed to bee raffled off and chickens and roosters to auction off all money will go to fight the chicken ban.I will post more info on the show.

It seems to me California needs to lighten up man, band bees !! pigeon's come on last time i was there they need to band weird-oos and gays maybe if they would watch 2 pigeons mate they would see that a male and female work better for this stuff

i'm glad i live in the country here in iowa i have heard about banning raising pigeons in bigger cities and i agree there should be a vote of some sort for ya guys that live in big cities they are always trying to control what we do just my thought they do for hunting trapping fishing and simple hobbyist like us just cause someone does not like to here cooing or the caw-caw of a crow ya hear alot of dogs barking in them cities ya know i just don't get it well good luck to ya guys kevin

Thanks PR rollers i could use all the knowledge from these masters of feathers cause i have rollers for 2 years now but mishandle then and would greatly apprciated to get info from anyone to help manage my birds cuase i'm paralyzed from the waist down forr 9 years now and use rollers as my theophy and instead of drugs like oxycodone 600 mg evry 4 hrs. they help me alot but i don't expect poeple to feel sorry for me but help me to manage them right so the birds could do what they were bred to acrobate in the sky..

I hear you pararoller.feel free to ask away. you can also look at top count 7 over it says search site hit on that one write what ever you need help on like lets says
what do I feed my birds or how much then you will see a list of post come up and you can go through all of them and learn because of lots of questions had been ask here for years and you can get help using that search button ..good luck..
