Hi guys,
this is a show for anyone that loves birmingham rollers. It has grown from about 50 people a few years ago to about 100 last year. We have guys cvoming from all up and down the west coast and is really the main northern california show.
as Scott said, it is an ideal location. It has seating for 200, all covered to protect from any possible rain, there is a playground within a few yards of the picnic area, a zoo, kiddie rides, and more. so, you can always make a day of it with the family and send them off to have their fun while you have yours.
any questions - just send me an email = kcfirl@yahoo.com.

Great timing on the NCRC show to coincide with the Las Vegas show. I have lived in Las Vegas all my life and yes we do have show girls, as well as monkeys! But there is a whole other side to the community of Las Vegas. As good as place as any to raise your kids and raise Rollers. I don't see the purpose of scheduling a show on the same weekend of another show that was announced well in advance. Unless there is some urgency that required NCRC to do so. My opinion, but I wish best of success and fun at both events! Sincerely, Don M. Mac's Rollers

Don, I doubt that either show is actualy conflicting with each other as those planning to go to Vegas allready has it planned to do so. And honestly, I would take the Vegas Show girls over our dumb monkeys any time. ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

Great timing Scott! I just sent a response to the facts or fiction post where I try to make a point about miss-perception of intention by others on their posts and sharing knowledge. I may be guilty of same in this case. I better get off of my pedestal now and take a good look at myself from the outside in! A postive situation though as this is how we learn our life lessons! Sincerely, Don M. Mac's Rollers

There was going to be a date in Dec or Jan but it didnt work out for the NCRC so the next day was the 14th or 28th and it ended up the 28th. We did not deliberately choose the same day. Infact the guy who organized it was out of the country for a while and they wanted to do something in the winter here since we cant fly birds right now. Honestly this was not intended to try and compete with Vegas. We live so far apart that anyone here would have to take a plane to visit or drive for 10 hours + and vise versa. Good luck to you guys. BIll C
Yang, We might have a kit box raffle. We have put out for someone to build one and the club will pay for the wood if need be. But I cannot gaurnatee that we will have one. I hope so. If it rains and pours for 10 days I could make one but if the sun shines, well I will have work to do. Besides I make big kit boxes that are heavy. If we have one We will take a picture of it and raffle it off. So if you come in a VW or something it can be picked up later. Bill C

Scott,
We all know that you will fight for the first kiddie ride...LOL....and I want the pirate ship ride....and we WILL NOT let you be along with the MONKEYS>....if you know what I mean!!
I dont think the two shows will conflict with each other....Most who come to our shows are from Cali...no worries.....of course I will be in Vegas in May for SUPERCROSS racing yahoooo.
I just got off of work so that I can make the show...I cant wait to go!! ROCK ON!!!!!

Hi Don M,
I am the one responsible for scheduling the show and I did not look at all the other show dates before deciding on this one. I am sorry to tell you this but the date of the LAs Vegas Show was not foremost in my mind when choosing a date.
Besides, there is little cross over anyway.
Sincerely, Ken Firl

Bill C, I think you mention on another post that birds being auction off, the money from it will go half to the club while half to the donor who donated the bird. Does this still holds? Im just curious because I seen other clubs do it, and the money go straight to the club. ---------- kham thao

There is also a raffle which we are working on getting a kit box made...no pormise but I will make some calls and see if we can have one. There will be many items for raffle also. Bill C

hi guys,
don't worry about rain - we have a site that has a covered roof that seats 350! Last year it was rainy and windy and we were very comfortable.
If you're still worried here's a link with pictures: http://www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us/parks/rental-facilities/san-joaquin-shelter.htm

Hi Ken,
I dont care about the rain, just though that a little sunshine would be nice(either way it wont stop us roller lovers). I love that Zoo too, been raise in that local area and had many events there many times. That link(picture) there remind me when I was in 3rd grade and we had a field trip there. We ate at the same pinic table too. (just check the forecast too they said it will only be partly cloudy).
Also ken I was reading the comments and Bill C. said that there will be a kitbox there too, just wondering if you guys have a picture to post it up.
Cant wait to see how 3 years later it is now. Got to be really big now!!
Thanks, Thomas Thao

Thomas, we dont have a picture but that would be a good idea for the future. The curret President MIke Lockwood who will be the auctioneer told me personally that a kit box was already made and will be there.
Hey Sid are you a good cook? We could always use an extra hand. Looking forward to seeing you guys this Saturday. Bill C
