looks to me to be very well built, but it also looks like it would be hard to clean. I dont think those fronts come off, do they?

Your right Butch it is a pain, and a design flaw, next project will be removable fronts, I mainly posted it to show the layout.

Thanks for posting Scott, the nests will keep some poop from going in the drinkers, but pigeons are very resoucefull lol.

Thanks Scott, appreciate it. Do you find 18" high is sufficient? Anything else you would change from a design point (other than removable fronts? i.e. wire floors, etc).

Bigger is allways better Rod, I certainly wouldn't go smaller although many do, deminsions are fine, I like the elevated nest areas as it forces the birds to move around, keeps youngsters out of the next rounds nest and opens up floor space, I also stagger opening up the boxes to the fly pen.
I use wood pellets for litter and prefere that over wire, I use a large 8" scraper for cleaning,it would be much easier if I could remove the fronts for sure.
Some guys have the ideal, which are walk in ind. they build then narrow (2') in a covered area.

Thanks Scott, I've been holding off building breeding cages for my bellnecks & I think this design will fit the bill. I'm going to make a removable front as well. Thanks for sharing ideas.
