I have a hen which have a watery eye and i don't know what to do with it. If you look closely you'll see a thin layer of clear coating and she can't really shut her eyes fully. Also i have a cock bird that is throwing up whenever he is done eating. The cock looks healthy and doesn't seem to lose a lot of weight. I don't know if it's due to the weather because we recently hit some high temps and i don't know if the draft got their body confused or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

As for the cock throwing up has he been eating on the ground lately or have you spray chemical around loft to clean.I had a hen vomiting when she ate last week but I gave her garlic in water and she is ok now ...I was spraying the kitbox with permectrin and she probably pick on the wood cause I seen her do that so I won't use that in there again until its dry for sure.. did the hen hit something ? Ralph, As for the cock. He's been eating clean food. I always try to keep food off the ground. What i think might be wrong is the water. When i leave in the morning to school i leave the water in there and when i return the water is clouded. As for the hen. She didn't hit anything. I just notice that it gotten watery so i rinsed it with clean water. And looked carefully and notice a thin clear layer on top with like dust looking particles.

Watery eye could be a cold or something. I have birds vomit from time to time. Eat to fast, who knows?

I had asked a friend to take a look and he put a drop of that one medication. All i can remember from the med was that it said: 1 time 1 drop or something like that. It's made for pigeons that's for sure. And also one thing about her is that she lost weight and not eating. She'll drink but that's about her limit.

For the eye cold, you can use vetRX or doxybird. Ive tried doxybird, 1 tablet for 5-7 days and it has worked well. ---------- Gary
