Andrew was suspended but he lobbied me to un-suspend him which I did. He posted a few times and then hasn't been seen since. Other gentlemen have felt pushed away by the tone of some. I take complete responsibility for it.

Poor guy! He was just starting with rollers, yet probably got suspended because he is into color, criticized by performance guys, and responded back with attitude that reflect his young (immature) age. I can imagine how he feels being rejected by a group of people that share his hobby. He is like a young bird that was not given a chance....I don't know him personally, but I've read most of his posts and how he was criticized (mock?) and responded with foul language. And yet some members here who personally attacks someone are still here. I am not siding with anyone, but it is really hard to invite someone to join this hobby if we are very strict.

Andrew took a lot of crap for a long time before he finally snapped on the ones that pushed him the hardest.
Personally, I applaude the kid for having the backbone to stand up to them. He should of gotten a trophy for what he done,... not a boot.

Hey Rod, I don't know if you are just speaking tongue-in-cheek or what but Andrew and 2 others were suspended for basically cussing each other out and having a no-good bitter and bickering argument. Adults have left this site to post no more for that sort of behavior.

When some of you guys fawn after the young people who are the "future of our hobby" and so let on - that somehow they need to be cooed coddled and pampered, you may very well be creating little monsters.

One "young person" took exception to being chastised for his behavior on the board and said I need to be careful how he is treated, paraphrase: "...after all, young people like me are the future of the hobby..."

SAY WHAT? Kids pick up on weakness pretty fast and can be masters of manipulation. Stop treating them like they are too precious to set straight and help them grow into being real men!

NUFF SAID!

Geez Scott,

Maybe I am on the wrong forumn, I thought this site was about all aspects of rollers. What is the problem with showing performance rollers? In hound comps. there is always a show and then the competition part afterwards. Really what fun would this be if it were all by your standards, and the few that follow your way of thinking? When I come across posts that dont interest me I move to the next one...What makes you and Katcher anymore important than anyone else? I'm going to support our local all pigeon club by letting my boys show the rollers.

Oh No............lets not get on that subject again Lipper!!!!!!!! Why do people always insist on bringing other hobby activities into a roller threads. This has nothing to do with what other hobbies consist of, or do...

Where are you going with this Mike ?
I stood up for the kid when he was taking heat , many of us were kids once playing with pigeons.
Sure I can be a prick when calling bullshit for what it is, but that has nothing to do with this kid playing with his pigeons.

Introduction: Users of the All Roller Talk discussion board agree that in order to maintain and promote a user and visitor friendly discussion page, the following community standards will serve as a guide to correct behavior when posting. When a specific issue is not addressed, tact and diplomacy is required and posts may be modified and/or deleted as necessary by the Site Owner or a moderator. This policy will be modified as needed to uphold the spirit of the policy.

The following is allowed:

• General and specific topics related to pigeons.

• Controversial topics related to pigeons respectfully and tactfully treated.

• Promoting a point of view that is not in violation of the community standards of this board.

• Disagreements where name calling or insults are not being used.

I would say Tony is very lenient on this site. To be honest I had only skimmed through this sites policy until this morning.. I am guilty of posting some "not allowed" as well as others, and am still here.

Ok Scott, you wrote:

(he's playing around on some forums where they like pretty pigeons and where can talk bout showing.)

I have come to the determination that many here enjoy a wide variety of aspects in the roller hobby. Not limited to, I will use your quote "pretty pigeons" crests, muffed etc...And on to (I assume you meant)"and where he can talk about showing"...Scott show me where any of the above is not allowed here?
This is what the posting policy says: The following is allowed:

• General and specific topics related to pigeons.

• Controversial topics related to pigeons respectfully and tactfully treated.

• Promoting a point of view that is not in violation of the community standards of this board.

Please Scott, state your point, and justify it using the posting policy as well....I got to tell you that nowhere could I find anything in regards to this being a "purbred pigeon site". Please correct me if I am wrong and I will be the first to go..

Hey Tony,

I don't know what is tongue-in-cheek mean, but I do agree that Andrew used foul languages that was uncalled for and unprofessional. I also agree with you that such behavior should not be tolerated or pampered with. I only had to ask you whether suspending Andrew was the right call. Based on what I remember in some of his previous posts usually someone instigates the arguments and the bickering. In my opinion Andrew finally snapped because usually he doesn't reacts until suddenly he started responding back and started to show his immature age. Should you had rather suspended those who instigated his reactions? Obviously, I don't remember the names of those people now. I only remember the sudden change in Andrew's behavior. He started fighting back using cuss words, etc. In my opinion you suspended the wrong kid--not because he will become the future performance champion, but rather the one who had a genuine interest and love of this roller hobby of ours.

ps. I hope that Lipper, Scott, Cliff, Dave and others won't snapped by discussing/arguing about color breeding and performance breeding because I value all of their insights and perspectives. All I know is that everyone has different interests in some sections of this hobby. It is when we imposed our opinions on others that we get messed up.

I am currently breeding a specific color, I just don't get into heated debates over it. Besides, My birds come from a highly respectable roller man. A lot of BS that is shoveled around here is simply BS. If that's your thing, keep shoveling & I'll keep breeding for color! Lol!

Jared, oh my freind we have a lot more in comon then I ever knew. The monson bells are on eggs so we should be getting some little ones to fly here real soon.

There are many highly respected men that have a rare color, but for some reason even when the the birds from this man are winning in the comps, they get a full ration of the BS. I try to not responed to some of the BS posts but I think some just like getting there spoon in deep and stirring the pot.

I am a firm beleiver in, I reserve the privalage to breed and fly what I want and give the same right to all. If you want a coop full of blue checks so be it have your coop full of what ever you want I would never fault you on it. I would expect the same from any one raising birds to not fault me.

I see Andrew all the time posting on other forums, he does feel mocked and scorned from some. I have said it before and I will say it again,

"The hobby of pigeon raising is to small, we need to encourage not discourage."

I feel bad when folks that used to participate in many aspects of the hobby, have left some aspects, because of the immature way some people have treated him/her .

Tony, I agree anyone using foul langauge or name calling or any other childlike behavior should be cause to tell them to hit the road. You should not cuddle anyone no matter their age or time in the hobby. It must be a hard job at times.I would not want your position! I know that this forum helps generate some much needed funds for your family and telling someone they need to go must be well thought out before it is done. I wish you well with all of your endeavors.

I am signing in after a while because some people were telling me too. First of all it's not because all of the people here. Sure I don't like some but some other are great. First of all, guys I DONT BREED FOR COLOR OR FOR SHOW! I am breeding strictly for performance! Scott. "he's playing around on some forums where they like pretty pigeons and where can talk bout showing" Yeah right! Where did that come from. Yes I have cut back on the yellows. I only have one cock now that I am breeding from because it would be stupid if I didn't. Exactly guys you are right, I never really started anything. I guess sometimes I did ask the same questions but yeah, not no more. But usually everything was just retaliation! Go back, my foul language was not bad at all. Especially in person to person, it's not bad at all, just ask TT. :) I can tell I have got some good homies here though. :) Thanks guys! This forum was a waste of time for quite a bit because whenever I posted the same people were basically ruining them. And then I got tossed which was kind of 'not right'.
