Does anyone know anything about this line of rollers? Are they show/performance?

I think they were whites and it has been such a longtime ago that they are no longer anything pure.

I believe these were pre-dominantly pure white birds with orange eyes. The eyes are what set them apart from other white birds. They are also performance rollers. I have a young one in my kit and its starting to develop the roll. Hope that helps.

Mike, Rob is correct. They were a line of orange eyed self white that Paul Platz from Poway, CA developed. His advertisement said they were developed from Ralph Hilton's line of birds. I had some and the percentage of good performers was real low. 98% were lawn darts or loose rollers. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe

J.P. Isom of Utah has some that he has kept pure since he got them in the mid 70's he has his share of good performers they do throw some red grizzles and red splash birds. Eyes are bright orange and sometimes pearl. Cant see the eyes though when they are tearing up the sky LOL. ---------- David Curneal www.freewebs.com/dcurneal www.intheair.ning.com www.saltcreekcustomstone.com

155,
I did notice them, and it reminded me that I had heard of them in the past. I was curious as to the background.

I have 2 white mated rollers that I got a from a friend. He told me they were platz. However 1 bird has bull eyes and the other has 1 bull eye and 1 pearl.
Also the one with the bulleye/pearl has a UTAH band...
Do you know if they ever threw out bulleyes?

Game, The Platz birds I had would also throw bulleyed birds. Breeding that much white, it is hard to avoid them. They pop up on occasion. ---------- Keep em Spinning Joe
