I would recommend no less than 2 to 3 weeks. I would cover any flight pens and eliminate any visual clues that pigeons are on the property. Its a safe bet, that the BOP are waiting for your next release.

* 2 to 3 weeks minimum. Hope all works out for you.

What state do you live in? That has a bearing on their migration unless they are resident hawks.
Also welcome!

welcome bret my only guess in your situation will be to just wait until the BOP migrate if its a residential BOP just work around it fly at different times or fly only a couple birds if you dont get hit by bop continue and release all the birds your flying. Time changing really helps sometimes good luck buddy and remember patience is a big key in this hobby. Edgar

they are exelent birds breet01. i have ruby, and monty, blood lines. first genaration birds.i have done very well with them and now i have heaps of second genrations. i have found montys blood to be very hard to control, were rubys lines are easy.

Not only would i fly at different times, but i would test the sky with a B-team first. Keep track of when you are hit. The time of day, the weather, everything! Then try to determine when he BOP's will be deperately hungry, or just out and about and looking for trouble.

For instance, BOP's in Texas are hungry and ready to hunt ANYTHING after a few days of rain.

Brett01.....you need to take some good notes. Keep track of "when" the BOP arrive in your area(what month) Note when they "leave"(what month). Every area of the country is different. But the final decision is up to YOU.. Don't be too "impatient" that's the whole key to raising and flying rollers.
