You can insert photos in both the pedigrees and the pair off reports. I have had power pigeon since it was first released. About 10 or 11 years and although sometimes I get frustrated with the back ups it is a wonderful program. You can get it at C-D-R.com. There use to be a demo you could download and use until you add 14 birds. It really gives you a chance to play with it before you buy it. Joe

I use to use that system, but found it alot easier to just write things down in a notebook that I kept in the loft at the time so I didn't forget them. Too many things to remember all at once..lol.... I guess it works for some people but I found it a problem. I'd get distracted and forget to put them into the system.

cv roller....especially when a person gets up in age, when their mind doesn't hold things like it use too.....LOL. The notebook in the loft beats any other method that I can think of... and it is always accurate

I really like power pigeon, I rarely pay for software but I think this progam was worth it. the one thing I learned the hard way is back it up, its best to back it up to a thumb drive or if you have 2 drives to the second drive. I lost about 3 weeks during the peak of breeding season. I had to redo a harddrive and forgot to back up first... bad mistake. but on the other hand once looking at the progeny I found I still had a cock from a click pair, I would probaby never realized that on paper records.

Speed pigeon.com has a free pedigree but,you have to put everything in every time you want to print a pedigree.

Well I also use a notebook in the loft but it is pair off reports printed off Power Pigeon. They contain the padigree along with 10 spaces to band the young. I dont add the birds into the computer until the end of the season and then I just add birds that made the grade. The rest stay on the paper copies that get filed. Joe

I really don't turst the computer with my personel things. It has a tendency to "crash" and I usually lose everything I have stored. But,not in my little notebook. It's always their when I need to look for something...LOL
