ok a friend gave me a roller that he picked up at a hawk rescue center ,he takes his cull there (show birds)they feed them to the hawks in captivity and he gets a tax write off for each cull (i think its $8 per cull)my question does it matter if you know nothing about the bird ,no band! but it rolls fast ,tight and deep 30ft ...would u breed it knowing nothing about the back ground ,i flew it to see what it would do and man i want to breed it but dont know ?? what would you do ???

Go for it mate but keep it caged up with its mate and see what you get .
If they come good build a familey around them but (DONT) Cross it into your familey of birds if you have one already bcause it may seem ok now but the familey it comes from could pick up bad faults later in life. And if you breed it into your familey then of course you will breed faults into it.
good look mate.

Hey cv rollers, if you like it then breed it. A bird can have 12 bands on it and a pedigree history dating back to the dinosaur age and it will not roll or produce roll. I say breed it on a few different birds and keep good records on the matings and results. If it produces then you hit the lotto. If it dont then you still end up with a nice kit bird.

CV let me ask you a ? did you fly it alone to judge it or with your kit birds ..the reason why I ask is because alone the bird will show everything you like in a bird if its good but with a team thats when you see the faults it has like out flying alone away from kit no heart so to say bumping when coming out or in with the team cause excitement..coming out the roll heading the opposite direction from the team..just things to consider/k... ----------
