I have a cock bird that isn't fertile anymore. I have switch hens a few time but still the eggs are not fertile anymore. Is there anything i can do? I've tried resting the cock (not breeding him for a while.) Just recently paired him up again and still no fertile eggs. Anyone know what i can do?

Thanks,
Tou2son

Try trimming around the vent. Might be some feathers in the way preventing him from getting his job done.

If the cock will ever fill an egg again
get some gonadotropin and you will know.
If this site cannot get it for you see
a Vet.

If he has stopt filling his eggs then he must be getting on right?
If so you should have quiet a few offspring out of him? And good once at that.
As if he wasnt a good producer he would be long gone.
Also you wouldnt be so gutted he isnt filling.
This is so horrible for us guys when somthing goes wrong.
And its always the best birds it happens to.
My good friend has an hen THE BEST HE HAS and sadley she has stopt laying.
If I was you I would get his best son and put it to the hen he (THE LIMP COCK) goes with.
At least you are gonna be on the same tracks.
Even if you did find this magic poshion to make him better again its not gonna last long.
Surely he has done his job over the years?
now is the time to put him into retirment and let him fly high and enjoy what years he may have left.
Good look for 09.
yours in roll harrison uk.
sorry about my spelling.

alright guys, thanks for all your help. i'll try out trimming the vented area, and see what happens next. if that don't do it. i'll ask Tony for some of those fertility pills.
